An IVMR (Individual Vehicle Mileage Record) is a per-vehicle report documenting the miles a tractor ran in each state or jurisdiction over a reporting period. FedEx Ground linehaul contractors submit IVMRs on a recurring schedule as part of contract compliance, and the same state-by-state mileage underpins IFTA fuel-tax filings and mileage-based registration.
What an IVMR contains

Why IVMRs hurt when done by hand
Manual IVMR production means chasing odometer readings across drivers and terminals, allocating state miles from trip sheets, and reconciling totals — for every tractor, every period. The two failure modes:
Gaps: a missing odometer segment (truck moved, no reading) breaks the reconciliation. Found late, it is a violation risk; found early, it is a two-minute fix.
Lateness: the report is due whether or not the person who builds it is on vacation. Chronic lateness shows up in contract compliance reviews.
