FAST Bot — the AI operations assistant that knows your fleet

2 min read Updated 9/2/2026

Ask your back office anything

FAST Bot lives in your company chat and answers from your real settlement, fleet, and scheduling data — grounded, permission-aware, and read-only.

The short version
FAST Bot is an AI assistant inside FAST chat. Ask "who drove the most miles this month?", "break out a P&L for a driver", or "which tractors can we pull for maintenance next week?" and it answers from your live FAST data — with source chips showing where every number came from, and a one-click spreadsheet download of the data behind any analysis.

The executive summary

Your data already lives in FAST — settlements, payroll, maintenance, safety events, schedules, fuel. FAST Bot turns questions into answers without opening a single report page. It runs the same analysis engines as the reporting dashboard, so the number it gives you in chat is the number the report page would show.

Money questions, straight answers
Settlement summaries, driver pay weeks, P&L for a driver, tractor, domicile, or the whole company — with prior-period trend.
Route & run profitability
Trip legs chained into real round-trip runs, ranked by net after driver pay and carrier-billed fuel — winners and money-losers.
Fleet & maintenance
Fault codes (new vs recurring), PM due vs the schedule, idle time in hours and dollars, fleet health grade.
Safety & compliance
Pre-trip compliance, Safety Forward training overdue counts, exposure-adjusted risk drivers, IVMR status.
People & schedule
Coverage gaps, open trips, time-off requests, PTO balances, who is out driving right now.
The road ahead
Live NWS weather advisories checked against the terminals on today’s scheduled trips.

Built for trust, not vibes

Grounded
Every number must come from a tool call against your data in that turn — a verifier blocks any figure that isn’t in the results. No guessing, ever.
Permission-aware
Rooms inherit the least-privileged member. One driver in the room means no company pay or revenue data — for anyone in that room.
Auditable
Analysis replies carry a download button: a formatted spreadsheet of the exact data behind the answer, ready to share or check.
Read-only
FAST Bot cannot change pay, approve anything, or write data. It answers and points to the page where humans act.
Where does it live?

In FAST chat — a pinned FAST Bot conversation for direct questions, and in group rooms when you @mention it.

Can drivers use it?

Yes. Drivers get self-service answers about their own pay, PTO, schedule, and route — never anyone else’s. See the Driver App guide.

What can’t it do?

It won’t invent numbers, reveal other companies’ data, act on your behalf, or answer company financials in rooms that include drivers.

How do we get it?

FAST Bot is enabled per company — talk to your FAST account manager or support to turn it on.
